Sidelights on New London and Newer York and Other Essays

Sidelights on New London and Newer York and Other Essays by G.K. Chesterton

Chesterton mostly on the Jazz Age.

The first two parts are heavily topical, from the habit of using first names all the time, and why he found it inferior to the Victorian customs, through the practice of gate-crashing, to discussions of Prohibition and democracy. Quite a bit about America.

The last essays are about literature and less topical, but also interesting.
