A Time of Torment

I never intended to read a John Connolly novel, having picked it up because I got him confused with Michael Connelly, and probably won’t again. Anti-heroes v bad guys, check, the world sucks, check, law enforcement not doing their jobs, check, women just active enough that the book isn’t technically sexist but the men still save the day, check. The tension was almost tedious. Worst of all, he contradicts himself in the ending within mere pages of himself just for the sake of being a little bit spookier.
