Literary outfits

A couple of people mentioned Anne of Green Gables acquisition of her puff sleeves as favourite bits of comfort reading and got me wondering about memorable literary outfits more generally, I came up with two in particular: Miss Havisham's dilapidated wedding dress (shivers) in Great Expectations and Lord Peter Wimsey's harlequin costume in Murder Must Advertise.
