early Islamic historical fiction?
Maybe this is a long shot but figured I';d ask...
Does anyone happen to know of a good fiction book (or i guess possibly very non-dry/academic non-fiction, ie. After the Prophet) that is set in or relates to the historical period of early Muslim conquest of North Africa, Spain, Mesopotamia - time period somewhere through the first four caliphs basically?
not that i really need the distraction of moar fiction, per se, but yanno. if anyone knows of anything, suggestions would be much appreciated :]
