I've read Sultana's Dream, which sparked my interest. I've found Nomansland (men barred from the country) and Epitaph Road (most men wiped out by a virus, then discriminated against in society), but neither of these young YA books actually explores the impact on society, and Nomansland basically features a bunch of stereotypical teenage girls discovering makeup for the first time.
I've had Y: The Last Man recommended to me, found The Gate to Women's Country, but so far the best thing I've actually found is Ooku: The Inner Chambers , set in a feudal Japan where a plague wiped out most of the male population several years ago, and the uneven balance is now ingrained into their society.
It doesn't have to be apocalyptic or dystopian, and I'm obviously not averse to YA or graphic novels. Is there anything more for me to add to my reading list?
