How to Count Omnibus Editions
Fellow readers,
A topic of debate came up yesterday between my boyfriend and I. I'm currently reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. They are in one book, and since they are rather short, I was going to count them as one book. However, I thought about my omnibus edition of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book series and I count those books individually. This is my first year keeping a list of the books I've read, so I'm curious how others handle this. After thinking about it, I say that each book should count as one, meaning the Hitchhiker's omnibus is five books. My boyfriend says cover-to-cover is one book, so the Hitchhiker's omnibus is one book.
How would you deal with this?
