Requesting a read: Greek mythology.

Somehow in my travels, I missed the high school class, mythology. Repeatedly, I keep running into references to Greek mythology in movies & books. The more I run into, the more curious I become. Not to mention, knowing these things would definitely enhance my enjoyment of other books/movies that touch on Greek mythology.

Would you please recommend a book(s) that cover the Greek gods? I want to know who's who. The stories of who did what. Just the basic stories.
