Hey this is my second post here and this time I'm requesting a read. Well I love manga, but I wanted to branch out into American comics and graphic novels. But the problem is that I don't know where to start. I've never been into American comics because most of them focus on superheroes. While I love some of the adaptions from the comics to the screen, it's just not my thing. I'm looking for more variety like in manga. I love shonen manga, just as much a shojo if that helps. So are there any American comics/graphic novels that focus on other things besides superheroes? I'd love it if you guys could point me in their direction.
