Hey, I'm looking for well-written thrillers from the perspective of Joe/Jane Ordinary - no private detectives, cops, pathologists or MEs as the protagonist.
Bonus points if:
- written in the first person.
- set in the UK.
- focusing on missing persons/runaways.
Any suggestions?
Winter's Bone looks pretty bang on, and I've just bought Sister by Rosamund Lupton. Recently read Girl Missing by Tess Gerritsen which was okay, but I didn't like the ME perspective or the romance subplot. I've also recently read and loved Stephen Leather's The Basement and Toby Litt's King Death.
Thanks!
