Reccomendations?

I'm 16, but I don't generally like books you would typically find in the Young Adult section. I'm not big on Sarah Dessen, or really any book with an overtly girly cover (I know, I know, judging a book by its cover, but whatever), and any book with sexy vampires or witches is immediately out. That doesn't mean I rule out horror or romance though, it just has to be well-written and have actual meaning. I like psychological books, stuff that makes me think. Some of my favorites are Carrie by Stephen King, My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (that's a terribly random list lol). I don't really read that much, but when I get a chance to, I love it. I guess I'm not looking for any particular genre, just something good.
Any reccomendations?
