graphic novel suggestions

For Christmas I want to get my boyfriend an amazing graphic novel. He's a slow reader, but at the same time enjoys stories (one's especially by Asimov and things that are sci-fi or related to space in some way). I have a feeling a graphic novel may be easier and more fun for him, so I was hoping that someone would have some ideas!
