Need recomendations

My father recently e-mailed me and asked for book recomendations for my 16 year old brother. Here are his exact words as regards what he's looking for: "fiction or nonfiction about young people standing up for an ideal, being brave in the face of resistance, risking their safety and security, sacrificing their comfort but ultimately making a difference".

My brother doesn't read a great deal, but he's darn smart and can handle almost any level of book. I was thinking about the Hunger Games Trilogy, but ran out of ideas beyond that. I don't read many books about young people, specifically, so I'm a little low on inspiration.
