Book valuations

This might not be totally relevant to this place, so please delete if its not allowed!

At home I have a really really old Bible - we think its dated 1597 - and we'd quite like to get it valued. From a UK perspective, where is the best place to do this? I live in Hertfordshire, near to London, and also go to Yorkshire quite a bit so anywhere around those places would be good. I keep trying to look on google but it just comes back with american websites trying to sell similar bibles...not helpful really!

Tips on storing really old books would also be good...we also have a huge 1860 family bible too, they're both currently in plastic bags in a cupboard, but not sure if thats the best way to store them...

so can anyone help? :)
