Hello, my name is Desperate

Apologies if this is not allowed, but I'm going mad from boredom and I need something to read. Unfortunately, I have a hard time going into a bookstore and just browsing until I find something. I'm a bit of a picky read, and a little hard to entertain. I don't have a specific genre preference since my reading experience is somewhat limited. I'm interested in books about geisha (like Memoirs of a Geisha, but it can be more autobiographical), about the deep south in the early 1900's (such as Their Eyes were Watching God), and I love stories about or set in the Nazi era (Elie Wiesel's book Night, for example).

Any suggestions on other books I might enjoy?
