Life after Hannibal Lecter?

I've just read The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, am halfway through Red Dragon (yeah, wrong order, it didn't matter much).

What do I read now? Where do I go? What do I do with myself? The Thomas Harris books were a bit of a shock to my system, as previously I'd not been particularly interested in crime fiction, just books from the perspective of nutters.

Any other anti-hero, Hannibal Lecter-type intellectual cultural nutters lurking in the literary world?
Any other character-driven good guy/bad guy dichotomies?

Or, just any other literary nutters? (Not into Chuck Palahniuk.)

My favourites are:
The Collector by John Fowles
A Kind of Intimacy by Jenn Ashworth
The End of Alice by A. M. Homes (this is the only one with the right kind of voice... intelligent, pretentious, y'know?)
American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis
The Seven Days of Peter Crumb by Johnny Glynn
