Lookin' for some recs!

Hey all,

I just finished reading Eliot Ness and Oscar Fraley's The Untouchables. While it's a totally fun read, I'd really like to find a more methodological approach to the subject that isn't quite as sensational, or at least a rendition backed with research and footnoting. Willing to read Eliot Ness and mobster biographies, as long as they're well-researched and well-written!

Thanks for any suggestions!
