Looking for recs

Hi everyone!

Since recommendation topics always seem to have good results, I'm hoping you guys could help me as well.
I'm really interested in the (religious) myths of specifically ancient Sumer. First and foremost in the cycle of Inanna, but any of the Gods' tales are fine, really. The rest of ancient Mesopotamia holds less of an interest for me.

Now, my question is, do any of you know of a book a short story collection with the abovementioned tales? I'm looking for a well-told version of the stories, not an academic approach. Any modern fiction that draws from the myths is fine as well (and I already read Vellum/Ink!).

If anyone could help me with a title or so, I'd be grateful!
