Audio Books That Are Better Than Actual Books

I've never really liked audio books. I can read faster than the narrator tells the story and in general, it doesn't absorb me in the same way that an actual book does. But, since my mom and had to make a cross country road trip a couple of weeks ago, I ended up listening to all 6 hours of Julie Powell's "Julie and Julia" audio book.

And was I ever surprised! I had tried to reading the book version of this several months ago, and found it unbearably tedious. In audio book form, though, I was enthralled! It was witty and about ten times more enjoyable than the written book.

So, my question to you is this: what are some audio books that are actually BETTER than their written counterparts? I'd prefer memoirs and non-fiction, but I'm up for anything.
