Books Read March '09
I read a lot more books than usual this month, which is a good thing!
1. Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas
2. Dirty by Megan Hart
3. Dead to the World (Southern Vampire Mysteries #4) by Charlaine Harris
4. With Violets by Elizabeth Robards
5. A Quick Bite by Lynsay sands
6. Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning
7. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Most Recommended/Best Read: I actually read a lot of good books this month. But, by far my favorite was Darkfever. My friend Ashley recommended it to me and I wasn't sure if I'd like it since it is about "fairies", but it was really amazing and I can't wait to pick up the next in the series, Bloodfever. If you're into paranormal fiction, the Fever series by Moning seems to be really promising! Another surprise that I really enjoyed was With Violets. It is actually considered fiction, even though it is based on the French painter Berthe Morisot and her love affair with fellow artist Edouard Manet, set in Paris in the 1860s. Of course, I love C. Harris and her Sookie Stackhouse series. And L. Kleypas is another one of my favorites. Neverwhere was a book my fiance recommended to me. It is a modern-day fantasy novel about average guy Richard who slips through the cracks of London into a world of magic called London Below. I've never read a Neil Gaiman book, but his description is amazing and I'd consider picking up another of his books in the future.
Least Recommended/Worst Read: Hands down, Dirty by M. Hart was by far my least favorite. I actually started this book at the beginning of February and couldn't finish it. But, I have a problem leaving a book unfinished for too long, so I forced myself to finish it. The main character, Elle, was unlikeable for most of the book.
Coming Up: I have a few more of the Sookie Stackhouse books I want read, plus another Lisa Kleypas romance novel, and a romance about witches by Annette Blair. Has anyone read anything by Blair?
