Book recs? (Another one, I know)

Hi!

I've had a look through the community (and others) and can't quite find exactly what I'm looking for. We started a new study unit in school - we are studying World War II. So, my first thought went straight to reading and books.

I'm looking for books particularly about WW1&2, but books on other wars and appreciated too (I love reading about of all them...so far). I want something that is fairly factual - it doesn't have to be non-fiction, but it can be. I don't really want a personal recount unless it tells most of the details, not just some, however they're welcome also. I'd preferably like books from all different sides, e.g. from Germany's side, from Russia's side, from Australia's side, etc;. And, most of all, they have to be written well, otherwise I'll get bored.

Thanks!
