surprise books

What are some books that you never thought you'd like but ended up loving?

For me, it's easy--Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.  Both books I had to read for high school English and didn't think I'd enjoy at all.... but I really liked them, especially SoS, which definitely makes my list of favorite books ever.
