I Admit It, I Am Addicted to Rice's Fiction

I want to read more supernatural fiction, but I've never ventured beyond the realm of Anne Rice.

My very first vampires came to me through Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and I love them still. Lately, however, I have been craving something new. I have recently watched all of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer for the first time and it's only heightened my desire for a new vampire book or series.

I loved all of the Vampire Chronicles (Memnoch the Devil, especially) but Rice's other vampire books fell rather flat for me - likely because I had gotten to know and love Lestat and these minor characters' stories just weren't as engaging.

So, I come to you looking for recommendations for new vampire novels or series. Also, I have nothing against YA Fiction in general, but I have no intention of touching Twilight. Angst is good (Louis angst is a bit much, however), but teenage angst/romance? No, thank you.

Alternatively, I very much enjoyed The Lives of the Mayfair Witches so anything about magic rather than vampires would also be appreciated.
