Anansi Boys

I'm having quite a bit of trouble getting through Anansi Boys. I don't like Spider and can't stand how weak Fat Charlie seems to be.

I know I had some trouble getting into Neverwhere last month, but got into it around page 100.

Did anyone else have this problem, or am I just Gaiman-ed out?

Or, as an alternative explanation, does it have to do with the fact that I haven't read American Gods yet?
