I am desperately trying to read Witches of Eastwick for bookclub this month. But I just can't seem to get into it!
I'm 36 years old, so the book was published when I was about 12 years old, but it takes place in the 60s, before I was born. So much of it feels stilted and dated to me.
Can anyone give me any insight or hope that will make me slog through the rest of this book? I hate to not read the book, especially since I was the one who suggested that we read it!

i cannot give hope either, so you might wanna stop reading right now.
i, too, tried reading it and failed. pretty miserably.
then i sat through the movie (because i love cher) and later regretted it. not very worthwhile, even in condensed and more colorful film form.
