anyone a fan?  the series is  first man in rome, the grass crown, fortune's favourites, ceasar's women, ceasar, the october horse, and just recently, anthony and cleopatra.

if you like rome, thick books, fascinating characters, really well researched fiction (though not dry and boring), this series rocks.
