But. But books.
The Graveyard Book comes out in twelve days. I am very excited. This is not the topic of my post. The topic of my post is The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher. I am really, really fond of these books. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked them or not, but as I got deeper into the series I really fell in love. For those who don't know, the Dresden Files is a series of noir/pulpesque detective novels, centering around a wizard living in Chicago. His name is Harry Dresden. He advertises in the phone book under "Wizard". He also helps out the CPD on occasion, as a consultant. The books are a lot of fun to read - Harry's a good narrator, especially if you like the wisecracking, cynical, pop-culture-dropping, hopelessly heroic type. The demons and monsters are demonic and monstrous, respectively. The werewolves play D&D. The sex vampires try to kill Harry. It's just a fun series, and I'm really looking forward to the next book, which comes out in April.
I'm assuming other people have read this - What did you guys think?
