Nostalgic Reads

I like to reread some books every few years, even some of my YA books. The YA series I repeat the most is the Trixie Belden series. Set around 1950's or 60's, Trixie is the second youngest of four, and along with her neighbours, older brothers and some friends, always manages to find some mystery to solve. An article I read in a literary magazine a few tears ago, claimed that  while Nancy Drew (also a school-girl detective,) was bilingual, always got perfect grades, and could even fly a plane in heels, Trixie was more popular than Nancy, because Trixie was more like her readers. Trixie hated Math, almost never wore a dress, let alone heels, and often needed help to get out of trouble. The books, over thirty in total, were written by different authors, using the same two pseudonyms, and remain one of my favourite series. Even if I can remember most of the answers.
