I am so excited about these books!
I only recognize one book for my American Lit class (Their Eyes Were Watching God) so I am really thinking the class might not be bad after all--I'm getting to read new literature.
American Lit books:
Passing by Nella Larsen
their eyes were watching god by Zora Neale Hurston
a collection of classic fiction of the harlem renaissance edited by William L. Andrews
The Blacker the Berry by Wallace Thurman
Has anyone read any of the American Lit class books? What should I expect? Dense or difficult subject matter?
Thanks! I can't wait to get started this semester!
(x-posted to my journal and perhaps other lit communities so sorry if you get this multiple times!)
