The Eye of the World, by Robert Jordan

A Farmboy of Destiny hikes through Middle EarthFantasylandia

The Eye of the World

Tor, 1990, 670 pages

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, and Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

My, this Wheel does go on.

My complete list of book reviews.

Man I loved this book in elementary school. I think I got to book 4 or 5? and then didn't read fantasy again for like a decade, i was so done with it. lol. I'm slowly reading it again. I forget which book it was I stopped reading, but that and another book with Tree in the title, that did me in.

I think I got past the prologue and into the first chapter when I tried it. No farther, that I know.
