Today was the day it had to be tackled. But when the chore of doing the yearly burn pile in the yard which oddly enough co-incides with the yearly hotdog roast and the fire was done and we managed to get a good shower in to remove the smokey smells off of our beings we headed into town. The local SPCA chapter was having their annual (see a theme here?) used book sale and flea market.
The flea market could be cancelled but the book sale...don't you take that away from me.
My score for the sale
Herland -Charlotte Perkins Gilman (25 cents)
Confessions of an Economic Hit Man- John Perkins (no relation) (2.00)
Look for Me- Edeet Ravel (3.00)
The Thousand Autumns of Jacob De Zoet- (3.00)
cost 8.25 I paid 10.25 and gave the difference as a donation
The actual price of these books when new 74.95
Love used book sales that raises money for charity and save me money in the process.
Anyone else score something at a great deal recently?
